Privacy policy

The short version

Freedom Wallet is built and operated by Freedom Wallet Ltd, a company registered at Building #1, Nelson Spring Business Complex, Nelson Spring, Nevis ("Freedom Wallet", "we", or "us"). The wallet is self-custodial and there is no account to sign up for. We never hold your keys or your funds, and we go out of our way not to collect data about you. Privacy is the product, not a setting.

What stays on your device

Your private keys, your Monero private view keys, your recovery phrase, your backups, and your wallet passcode are generated and kept on your own device. They never leave it and are never sent to us.

The app collects no usage data, no analytics, and no telemetry. We have no interest in how often you open it or what you do inside it.

What our nodes can see

To sync quickly, the app talks to a node. When you use a node we run, it may briefly see your device's IP address, the block data your wallet requests, and any transaction you broadcast. We do not store any of it.

You are free to connect to a public node or run your own instead, in which case that node, not us, handles your connection.

This website

The website at freedomwallet.com uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count aggregate traffic, like how many people viewed a page. There are no tracking cookies, no advertising profiles, and we never sell data.

When you contact us

If you email our support address or reach out on social media, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your email address and your message. We use it only to help you, and we recommend not sharing personal information you don't need to. We would only disclose it if a law required us to.

Third-party swaps

Swaps, on-ramps, and the auto-convert into fUSD are powered by independent, self-custodial exchange providers that do not require identity verification. When you use them, their own terms and privacy practices apply, so it's worth reviewing them.

Keeping your funds safe

Because only you hold your keys, only you can protect them:

  • Write down your recovery phrase and keep it somewhere private.
  • Keep encrypted backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
  • Never share your recovery phrase or keys with anyone, including us.

If you lose this information, we cannot recover your funds for you.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product evolves, with the current date shown above. Questions are welcome on X and Telegram.
